Set alongside this history is Henry’s postwar life in Sydney and beyond, one of freedom, ambition, and success, yet shadowed by a legacy forged in trauma and endurance.
As Henry listens, he is drawn into his own reckoning. An only son, childless, and gay, he has long wrestled with questions of belonging, inheritance, and identity.
